VCA consultancies

The VCA system (from the Duch Language Veligheit, Checklist, Aannemers) is an international standard for work with third parties. It shows that the contracting company is able to comply with the necessary safety and prevention measures in order to limit as far as possible, the risks of its own workers and those of the contractor.  VCA certification is introduced to highlight companies that makes enough efforts to ensure safety at work and this dismiss unsafe companies.
VCA Training is necessary for each employee so that they can become aware of all keys points related to safety at work, which he will have to demonstrate by completing successfully a test.  A diploma will be issued by an approved inspection authorithy. Two types of training are available:
  • B-VCA for basic workers
  • VOL-VCA for operational executives.

There are three levels of certification: the VCA * which concerns only the companies that act as subcontractors, the VCA ** which concern the main contractors and finally the VCA petrochemicals.

The VCA Audit s performed by accredited bodies. Our mission is limited to the preparation and accompaniment of the Audit. This is done as follows:

  • First interview with the company manager and / or prevention advisor, checking the condition of the workshop, machine tools and how to work. Writing and implementing procedures, forms and documents Appendices, risk analysis and checklist of machines tools.
  • Second interview with the manager of the company during which we show him how to complete the checklist, set up the procedures and complete the forms. We then let the company run for a while (with or without our presence) so that implementation can be effective.
  • After this period of adaptation, we carry out an internal audit and, if it seems satisfactory, we call upon an approved organization, chosen by mutual agreement
  • The VCA certificate will be granted by the accredited body for a period of three years, subject to annual interim checks on the checklist.
